Pepperoni Pizza Crescent Rolls

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can Refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz can)
  • 24 slices Pepperoni slices
  • 4 Mozzarella string cheese sticks, halved lengthwise Cut in half lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons Pizza sauce (optional, for spreading) About ½ teaspoon per roll if using
  • 1 tablespoon Butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)
  • Extra pizza or marinara sauce (for dipping)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Open the can of refrigerated crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles along the perforated lines.
  3. If desired, spread about ½ teaspoon of pizza sauce on the wide end of each triangle.
  4. Layer 3 slices of pepperoni on the wide end of each triangle, then place one half of a mozzarella string cheese stick on top.
  5. Roll each triangle from the wide end toward the pointed tip, tucking in the sides as you go.
  6. Place the rolled crescents seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops with the melted butter, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and, if using, a light dusting of grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the rolls are golden and puffy.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving with extra pizza or marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

These pepperoni pizza crescent rolls are incredibly versatile. You can easily swap the pepperoni for ham, sausage, or even load them with veggies like bell peppers or spinach to suit your taste. For an extra burst of flavor, consider using all-butter crescent rolls and fresh mozzarella. They are best enjoyed warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
